Exciting times are ahead of application and platform developers with the release of Tizen Common as it has the ability to run on the Intel NUC DE3815TYKHE, which was one of the giveaways at the Tizen Developer Conference (as well as the Samsung Gear 2)
If you have a Intel NUC and want to get involved with development of the Tizen platform and potentially testing your applications, then you can start by flashing Tizen onto it using the instructions below. NOTE: This procedure is destructive will totally erase everything that was previously on your Intel NUC.

Downloading and Booting Tizen Common

Set the visual BIOS

  • Press F2 during boot to enter Intel Visual BIOS
  • Go to Boot > Boot Configuration
  • Set OS selection to Linux, which automatically enables the eMMC storage, which can be found at find the eMMC storage at /dev/mmcblk0
  • Press F10 to save and exit BIOS
